Being aware of the history of your city always provides you with a greater sense of grounding. It is almost like you are closer to your city and appreciate where you live. Encino was established in 1845 and the average resident is around the age of 42 years old. Our city is very safe and has been on many top five “Most and Least Risky Places for Identity Theft.” The most current population on record came to a total of 120,804 residents with almost equal amount of male and female residents. We love the weather and we will wear a sweatshirt on if it is 60 degrees outside. I guess you can say that we are spoiled with the weather. Snow and inclement weather…? What does that look like? Depending on your pallet, you can choose from a wide range of cuisines ranging from Indian, Mediterranean, Cuban, Italian, Persian, Sushi, and much more.
If you love outdoors, you can always visit Los Encinos State Historic Park which was established in 1949 or Lake Balboa/ Anthony C. Beilenson Park which is perfect to bring your children to play on the jungle Jim or take a quick swim. I guess you can say that our town is a little gem that possesses a little bit of everything. As humans, we connect stories and similar interests, or places we have visited to feel a closer bond. This connection is similar to how we feel closer to our city by knowing our history.
